Citrus Tower sits at over 500' above sea level and offers 360 degree views of the city of Clermont.  The tower was originally built in 1956 to overlook the orange groves, which were plentiful until the mid 1980's.  The once thriving citrus industry and its groves have made way for new homes for the growing population of Clermont.  The tower is a local attraction which is open to the public.  Visitors can take an elevator ride to the observation deck to enjoy panoramic views of Clermont, nearby Orlando and of the Central Florida area.  At the base of the tower there is an arcade filled with video games, pinball machines and games.  Citrus Tower is an alternative to the local theme parks and offers budget-friendly fun for the whole family.
